Weekend Fun

Okay so I know that I wrote about how my weekend began and I just wanted to talk about how it ended! So where did I leave off....Oh...I was going to go over to the Keene's house. Yes, that is what we did. They had us over for dinner and then we were off to the Huntington Drive-in. We packed up our lawn chairs, a couple sweatshirts, and a blanket and watched Hancock and Get Smart. Hancock was pretty good and Get Smart was eh okay. But we had such a good time just the 2 of us that we are going to start making that a date night thing (well for the summer that is). We didn't leave till 1:45 AM...but it was all worth it. The next morning we got up and went to Hall's for breakfast and to read the Sunday paper. Afterwards we played a game of testicle toss..I won 2 games in a row, I"m so cool. We then went over to Scott's parents house to ride w/ them to pick up Greg from Busco and made a pit stop @ JR's. We got some ice cream and headed back. We went swimming for a couple hours and then had to go to my softball game. Let's just say we did alright but we didn't win:( Oh well. I was pretty proud of myself, I had some pretty good hits. But what really made that day is when my parents showed up. I know they are pretty exhausted on the weekends b/c of work but they came out and I was so happy! It's nice to show off in front of the parents! Scott left before the second game and went grocery shopping...definitely will win an award. Monday were closed so I spent the day w/ Jessica and the kids swimming @ the pool. We then had dinner @ Bobby-Evans and ended the night watching The Bachelorette. I am so happy b/c she chose Jesse. He was the under-dog. He's your typical snow boarder w/ long hair...but I loved him and didn't think she was going to choose him. Okay so you can see that I had a fun-filled 4th of july weekend. and I will end it there!

Summer Lovin'

Today is July 5th and I am at work waiting for my noon to show up. I just have to say this weekend has been awesome, excluding waking up this morning from an all day drink-a-thon. Not so much fun. But anyhow. Thursday night I got home from work around 7 and when I walked into our house it was like stepping into Mr. Cleans casa. Scott had gone to town. He put all the dishes away, vacuumed, threw away junk mail and cleaned up all the random items laying around, swept the kitchen floor and cleaned the downstairs bathroom. That's not all. He then moved outside where he organized the garage, then he mowed the front and back yard, hosed down the patio, and scrubbed the outside table down. I was speechless. Scott really does help out a lot with house work but he went above and beyond! The best part of all this is that I didn't even ask him to do this. I think I am going to present him with the Year of the Outstanding Husband Award! haha! So after all that awesomeness we hung out w/ the Woodfills for the night. Becca made this carrot curry soup and oriental salad...yumm. It was really good. Anyhow. Yesterday, for the 4th we went over to Rick and Kays for fun 4th festivities. I haven't drank like that in forever. Started at 11-12 and didn't stop till 11 at night. The food was awesome and the fireworks were ooo'in and aahh'n:) Got some sun and played games all day. Allison (Taylors daughter) is my new buddy. She kept coming up to me and giving me hugs...so sweet. I would have to say Sam and I were the comeback queens in testicle toss...okay hillbilly golf....it's more fun to say the other name:) We were down 15-3, and came back and won it 21-20!! What what!! We had a really good time catching up w/ everyone that we haven't seen for awhile that was way overdue. So today I'm going to meet up w/ Jessica and go to a little girls b-day party @ Token N' Tickets....I can't resist! Then probably just hang...maybe have dinner w/ the Keenes...and then tomorrow....soak up some sun and play softball...I love the 4th of July:)!!!

Coffe Shop Talk

Today is the first of July...can't believe it. Only 6 more months and snow will be falling...yucky! Summer isn't all here yet either and by the time you know it it will be gone:( Oh well...I guess I can look forward to Halloween and our 2nd anniversary. Oh and my birfday. Gosh only 4 more years and I'll be 30...yikes! Anyhow. So I started @ B'dubs the other day. 2 days later I quit:) ha! I can't help it. I guess I didn't know what I was getting into. I truly like fine dining a whole lot better. So things aren't the greatest right now. We really have hit rock bottom but we have our heads high and have big expectations for our future. Scott's work is starting to pick up a bit and he had one amazing week...oota to him:) He has totally turned in the right direction and has gotten out of his slump and doing well. Go baby go!! We have a good life...even though we're not where we wanted to be it's still all good b/c we have each other and can keep motivating each other. Well I had a good day today. I got to sleep in w/ Scottie, had a couple of appointments come in, drove to a couple doctor offices today, and now I'm at Friendly Fox. I love me some lattes, so I indulged in a vanilla iced latte. Yummy! And I've been playing around on the internet. I actually had a good Monday as well. I hung out w/ my mom all day running around doing errands and browsing. I also joined her for lunch and dinner. My parents have become vegans and let me tell you....it's awesome! Seriously. I love eating over at their house. For lunch I had a egg salad (sub tofu for egg) on toasted rye w/ organic chips and salsa....the best by far that my dad has made. I think he should can it and sell it it's that good. It's beyond good. It's magnificent!! Anyhow. For dinner we had pancakes made w/ flax whole grain pancake mix...yummy! Who doesn't like pancakes for dinner? For anyone that frowns on vegan food...don't knock till you try it. I wish I could be as committed as my parents are. Well the vegan thing must be good for ya...b/c my dad is a diabetic and probably wouldn't be alive in a couple years is in the greatest health of his life and has lost over 45 pounds. My mom also joined him and has lost over 20 some pounds...maybe 30 not sure. But their health is incredible. Hopefully I can join them soon. Alrighty well I need to get home and make some dinner I'm getting hungry! Peace!
